[MCR] Coire Dubh - Dangerous Slab Conditions

The following conditions were observed by a group from the ACMG - Guide Training Ice course. Above the first steep ice pitch, hard windslabs 20-30cm thick were encountered. These recent windslabs developed from overnight winds/spindrift and were not bonding to the underlying facet layer. We turned around due to this. Moderate to strong West winds throughout the day, continuous spindrift and forecasted precipitation will likely increase the avalanche hazard in the short term.
